Returning to Our Soul Home
Soul Care for Wounded Healers pre-September Newsletter
Hello again!
I have taken a pause this summer in writing weekly newsletters, knowing my brain wouldn’t have the same creative energy as I spent time with my two kiddos and intermittent childcare.
This fall, I want to invite you to engage in contemplative practices that help us return to our soul-home and connect with God’s Divine Love. See below for events and newsletter series.

I will be leading two online monthly sessions: a Soul Care Group and Contemplative Silent Meditation session, as well as a one-time Trauma-Informed Soul Care Workshop on October 19th.
Upcoming Events

Sept 12th: 10-11am PST Second Tuesdays Soul Care Group
Oct 19th: 10-11:30am PST one-time Trauma-Informed Soul Care Workshop
ALL ARE WELCOME
Soul Care spaces are inspired by practices in the Contemplative Christian tradition and belief in the Triune God, but may be entered into with a variety of traditions, beliefs, and perspectives. No religious background or experience in meditation is needed!
The Soul Care Group is geared for helping professionals, ministry workers, etc, yet all are welcome as you desire to connect with God, others and yourself through guided prayerful meditation. The Contemplative Silent Meditation is open to all and will be a time to practice silent meditation together. For more information and to sign up:
Subscribe for Weekly Newsletters & Receive Soul Care Practice Booklet
As a gift to those who sign up, I’ve created a Soul Care Practices booklet with a variety of practices to aid you in your contemplative journey.
The full weekly newsletters will be for paid subscribers only (behind a pay-wall in case I pursue publishing someday). So please sign up if you haven’t already!
New Series: Returning to Our Soul Home
This series is inspired by a few significant threads: Clarissa Pinkola Estes’s words and stories in her book, Women Who Run with the Wild, my deepening awareness of the gift and importance of the contemplative life, and the Ignatian Contemplation of Divine Love.
I will also be drawing from an integrative somatic parts work training, and a variety of books I’ve been reading this summer.
We will be exploring what helps us return home, especially focusing on contemplative practices that help us to slow down and be present to ourselves, to God, and to others.
I always enjoy hearing from readers so please feel free to comment or reply to me.
with gratitude,
-Bethany Dearborn Hiser
